Hi, I'm trying to create placecards in MS Word from Excel data. I've tried using MS Word's labels, but here's the problem. The placecards I'm creating will go in a holder that have a border on all 4 sides, so I need to create a label that has padding on all 4 sides. So I want to show borders on the label so we can cut them but I want to make sure that data in the labels only get printed within some specified margins on all sides.

Currently I created a document that has a table that does this, but I'm not sure if I can import data from an excel list automatically (i.e. like a mail merge) to an MS Word table.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Just for other's enlightenment, it might help if you posted your solution.

Skip, sorry for the slow response. I thought I had this working correctly, but turns out I didn't. I never found a solution for it, and from what I've read, it's not easily doable with the built in mail merge functionality. I'd probably need to write some custom VBA, and it was just faster to do it manually. Thanks.
