This question was asked a couple of times before but there was no solution. I was hoping that by now someone found a way around this problem.

When I paste the contents of a word document (with tables and text formatting) into Frontpage I get a lot of unnecessary HTML code such as:
Code:
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:4.0pt">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:8.0pt;font-family:Arial">
The only way I found to get rid of this is to paste it into Notepad and then copy and paste it to FP. But this option also removes table details and text formatting like font, size and bold, italics..etc.
Is there a way to retain the formatting without that useless code?

A quick fix is to create the web page in Word but this usually results in a very large file and is awkward to edit afterwards.
I usually do as you do and paste it into notepad first as the content usually needs editing further once in the HTML environment.

I have not found a way to turn off all that extra code. I always copy and paste into NotePad as well.
