Hi,

To my great - okay, moderate - astonishment, it seems the method Application.OnKey is absent in VBA for MS Word. In this case version 2003. So far I have only developed macros in Excel, so this is uncharted terrain. Any substitutes?

Kindly,
Bjoern Sandvik

Take a look at KeyBindings in your object browser.

If it's for a control on a form you can use the 'KeyPress' event. If it's in a document and you want to catch a non-qualified keypress I don't think you can do it. If it's a qualified keypress (i.e. a key plus shift, alt or ctrl) you can bind it to a macro, which you normally do through Tools/Customise/Keyboard. You could probably do it through code when the document opens though.
