For the last few weeks I get the following error when I start MS Word:-

Complie error in hidden module: ThisDocument

If I click OK then all is fine, but what is causing this error?

Try deleting the normal.dot file. It's the default template that word looks at each time it creates a new document, sometimes it becomes corrupt.

Did delete all normal.dot files, but error still present.

Thanks anyway.

Check in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP is there anything in there? Replace "OFFICE11" with your current version of office. Try copying everything out of that folder, then deleting the contents. If it works empty, try copying anything you had in that folder back in, one item at a time.

I did delete the file WS3RW6 and the problem has gone away.

Many thanks.
