Hi,

I have to analyse an errorlog from SQL server. The problem is that I couldn't find anywhere some basic ideas about the erors that appear there.

Below is a fragment of it. That "starting database was in the orignail database much more longer.
"
2003-07-08 13:03:15.13 spid52 Starting up database 'Dem'.
2003-07-08 13:03:15.68 spid55 Starting up database 'Dem'.
2003-07-08 13:03:31.37 spid56 Starting up database 'Dem'.
2003-07-08 13:03:51.43 spid56 Starting up database 'Dem'.
2003-07-08 13:04:01.95 spid56 Starting up database 'Dem'.
"

Maybe it is notmal to be like this... But, for me doesn't look ok. Is the SQL server unable to start that database?

Thank you!

Here's a FAQ I wrote about this: faq962-3690

Hope this Helps!

If somebody check the auto close box in model database ,oyu should uncheck it.To avoid in the future all the database you create will be default as auto close

Claire. You are right, when model database is set to autoclose all the database created has the autoclose option turned on.

Thanks for the info.

Thank you all of you.
I was studying also abou that Auto_close switch.
It seems that for MSDE version the model database is having Auto_close set to on and for SQL server is set to off.
