Hi,

I am trying a relatively simple formula in MSP 2003 but cannot seem to get it to work.

I have a customised Date field where a date is manually entered upon approval of a document. If there is no approval, then then field shows N/A as default.

I then have a Flag field. I want to automatically set this to Yes if there is a date (i.e. not N/A) in the customised date field above, using Customise Field>Formula in the Flag field. I have tried the If function with no luck, and the IsDate function seems to reconise the N/A as a date as well as the actual date values in the customised date field.

Can anyone suggest a solution please?

Hello Twenny01,

To check for "NA" in a date field use the ProjDateValue("NA") function.

For example:

IIf([Date1] = ProjDateValue("NA"), 0, -1)

This will show No if the Date1 field shows NA and Yes if the value is not NA.

I hope this helps.
Julie
