I received "Redmond" magazine yesterday from Microsoft. It is not unlike the Novell "Connection" magazine that Novell puts out. In this edition, Microsoft evaluates several Linux distributions, and gives Novell's SUSE Linux highest marks. If you can, read the article. Interesting.

Is this article on line anywhere??

as a caveat - the author of that review, Emmet Dulaney, IIRC works for Novell or maybe consults for them? He wrote the CLP (certified LInux Professional) study guide for the Novell certification tests.

& btw - the CLP study guide is one of the better linux admin books I've read (without meaning to be..) highly reccomended.

Hi again - did some better 'due dilligence' and need to retract my prev post. Mr. Dulaney does NOT work for Novell. He's an independent writer. He has authored some stuff for Novell press but that's as an indie writer and linux expert.
I appologize for not having my facts straight..
Way cool that he likes SuSE so much, and nice to see the press in a MSFT centric mag. :) I like SuSE as well, been testing it here for months.
My statement about the CLP study guide stands though.. it's awesome. :)

I myself bought the CLP guide, and I have to agree, it's a very, very good book. I've been working with SUSE since I heard Novell was going to buy it. I used RedHat before that. Although I love Netware, I must say that OES is probably better at some things, but I'm going to keep my main servers running Netware for now. Thanks for all the great comments.
