Hello and good morning everyone..

Referring to previous thread of mine
It has happened again, but fortunately it was only me this time:). Again though I would like to investigate this issue as to why am I getting duplicated email messages from yesterday and day before ( yes, this time it only went for 2 days worth emails). This is really mind boggling. I am not behind on any updates/SP for either exchange or MS outlook 2000. I wonder if I should report this issue to Microsoft? This seems to be the a bugg of some sort, maybe?

Any suggestions...?

Thanks..

It is usually copied mail that doesn't get removed from source. Are you using cached mode? It is just SMTP mail (which would suggest an SMTP connector problem).

Thanks for reply Zelandakh. Yes it is SMTP mail going thru SMTP connector. What could possibly be wrong with the connector itself since I haven't touched for a long time. Matter of fact I only configured the connection which I configured the mail server itself which was last year Sept. It was fine until now.

Thanks again for your thoughts. Also I wanted to ask you if I add an existing email account in Outlook 2000, but manually trasnfer the oulook.pst (in this case this is an old 259mb size .pst file) file from one computer to another computer, then it shouldn't donwload all the old email again once I add the email account, right?

One other interesting thing I have notice is that even if I don't pick the option for " leave the messages on the server for x many day" in MS outlook, it still doesn't make a difference in this scanario...

sigbal75 - please don't "bump" your message in such a manner. If someone has a response, they'll reply. If not, then I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere.

Ok, enough said..I will look else where..
