Hi all,
I'm having problems with replication upon installation of a new Exchange server.
The situation is that we have an existing system (running exchange 5.5.sp4) on Windows NT 4.0 that needs to be re-built. We also have a brand new system, running Windows NT 4.0 sp 6, ready to install exchange onto.
Both of these machines are in the same domain, with the existing machine being PDC, and the new machine being BDC, currently on their own private ethernet segment (testbench).
The plan is that we install exchange on the new system, join the old site, replicate the data, and remove the original machine from the site.
What happens, is that whilst installing Exchange on the new system, replication fails, with a message to try re-starting the replication service. This does not help.
An error code is displayed: c1030b0d, but I haven't managed to find anything regarding this yet.
Any ideas on where to go from here? Seems to be un-neccessarily awkward for what should be a simple procedure...
Thanks in advance
