MS Dynamics GP 9.0 Fixed Assets Error Code 16

I am receiving this error and I cannot find a solution at Customer Source Knowledgebase:


Return code 16 (End of File) on file FA_Fiscal_Period_MSTR while attempting a get next operation. Year: 2008



The FA calender year for 2008 has been closed. Any help is greatly apprecaited.

What are you doing when you get this error? Has the next year been set up on Fixed Assets? Just out of curiosity, why is the 2008 calendar year already closed in Fixed Assets?

I running depreciaiton for period 2 in 2009.

Yes, 2009 asset calendere is set-up.

2008 is closed because our fiscal year ended in Sept.

I am not finding anything even remotely close to this error anywhere. The only thing I can think of is to try rebuilding the Fixed Assets Calendar. (Make a backup first!) You can find the steps to do this in the Fixed Assets manual or in KB article 935621:

Also, are you getting the same results on all computers? What about when you're logged in as 'sa'?

The error occurred while running projection reports. I recalculated the calender choosing to syncronized with fiscal and it resolved. The error received is defined in the first string.
