Hi all,

I would like to get and install MS Access on my computer, but don't know exactly what version to use - that being
the full version or an upgraded verion or 95 or 97 or whatever.

I presently have MS Office 97 Standard edition SR-1
(word 97, powerpoint 97, excel 97 and outlook 97)installed on my computer, but have NEVER had Access. Also, I'm running Windows 98.

Which is the appropriate version to install so that
everything works well together?

Any guidance/suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Peace!

Whilst A97 seems to be the version of choice for most developers (I'd use it if my company let me!) it is getting harder to find. M$ will not sell it to you anymore & I have a feeling they do not, or will not soon, sell Office 2000, so your only choice may be upgrading everything to Office 2002. This in itself isn't such a bad thing. O2k2 is pretty good, IMHO much better than O2k and from what I've heard much less prone to crashes.
One of the main reasons for not upgrading is the new features are not worth the hassle, but seeing as you've never developped in Access (I am assuming!) you won't know what the new features are, so that's not an issue.
All in all, I would probably say get the latest version if you can, that way you at least know m$ will continue to support it!
