HELP...

When I run a report in Access into the preview RTF its ok but when I then get it into MS Word using the button it creates random indents...

Can anyone help...

I don't think those indents are random. But anyway, when an Access report is exported into Word, all format will be lost.

if you want to export to word better, the only other way it to produce a crystal report, and then export to word from they, it is much better then a microsoft product, which you would think would link better, but is rubbish.

The think i like about crystal is that if you use any images or sub report it takes them over to, with no format issues at all.

Hi Tony--I just have tackled this recently so maybe can help.
Once in MS Word, hit the SHOW/HIDE button on the toolbar (looks like a paragraph mark). Is it that there are paragraph marks at the right-end of every row of text? Is that what is messing you up?

If this is the issue....if you are only doing this once, or it is very few marks that you can just delete manually and live with it, ok. But if you want to automate a way to get rid of them, that will take a bit more work. I ended up writing a macro in the MS Word template that my users now hit a shortcut key to run once the Word doc opens, and it formats everything for them. If you want to go this route let me know.

Its been so long since I have used Access. How do I create a .exe of a database...

Hi Tony. You are now asking a completely different question that your original post. In these cases it would be best if you begin a separate post. However I can tell you that in this case, there is no way to create an .exe of a database. You can search around, there are other options (.mde, deploying with runtime version of Access, or using VB or other program).
