Is there a way to change fieldnames in an Access database (forms, reports, VB scripts) globally. I have thousands of changes to make and a global change function would be great.

There is no specific Global search and replace in Ms. Access, but 'rolling your own' isn't very hard.

Just itterate through the collections - down to the specific doc. level. Open eack/every one and parse each object for your old field name, replace w/ the new.

If it is a large project, it would be worth it.

Seperatly, WHY would you do such a thing? If the process works, I would adopt the old adage "If it ain't broke - DON'T Fix IT!"
