MS Access 97 Couldn't "Compact DB"

Hi to Everyone.
I am trying to compact MS Access97 DB with few tables.
I could run "Repair DB" without any problem.
When I start "Compact DB" it goes...goes and somewhere at the end of process gives me error message "The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."
This DB is sitting on my local PC , only one user , plus I deleted all forms/reports/queries/relationships from this DB.

Question : How can I fix my problem ????

Make sure there is not a old corrupt lock file... Then try to create a new database and import all objects... Especially if repair does not work. htwh, Steve Medvid
