Hello,

Company B wants to connect through MQ CLIENT to my MQ SERIES SERVER 5.3 over Linux Red Hat 8 but its connection is very very very slow, so sometimes they can connect and others they can't.

Can anybody tell me if there is a parameter in MQ CLIENT to control the TIME OUT connection to let it higher?? Is there any other way to control the slow connection of Company B using MQ CLIENT?

Please help us!

regards,

Leo

Try increasing HBINT value of the svrconn channel. But that would help only if your client is already connected. If they have issues connecting itself, then MQ is not involved in any way. MQ comes into picture after it recieves a connect request and starts the svrconn channel.

Thanks for help,

I have a doubt, I have to increase HBINT or decrease???? By default HBINT is 300 , what can be its future value??

Thank you
Leo

You have to increase it. But you have to remember the following from the manuals.

"it also applies to server-connection and client-connection channels. On these channels, heartbeats flow when a server MCA has issued an MQGET command with the WAIT option on behalf of a client application.
"

Hi again,

Sometimes when client try to connect through MQ CLIENT, he gets 2195 error. I read manuals and the unique answer is "Unexpected error". This doesn't help me.

Please , can anybody tell me something about this error??? Is it means Time Out?? Is a misconfiguration in my server?
Is a client error or a server error?

Help.

If you get a 2195, then most likely there MUST be an associated FD/FFST file created under the errors directory.

Post the relevant ffst here, that would throw more light. 2195 "as is" NEVER tells you what went wrong.
