I'm using an MP3 file for the voice of my auto attendant. When I recorded it to the auto attendant menu prompt, I just held the phone close to the computer speaker. The sound is 'tinney.' The MP3 file sounds good on the computer but 'tinney' on the phone. What is the best way to hook up the computer to the phone so that I get a less tinney sound on my menu prompt?

I dont know if you could play it through an mp3 player on your pc and then record at the same time....never tried it...

Or try taking a line out of an mp3 player and putting that into the mic line input... may have to adjust the volumes...

Hi chiptransisto,
What voicemail are you using? If it's Partner Messaging, convert the mp3 to a 8KHz, mono wavefile and upload it directly. That should work although you may have to tweak it a little (try different sample rates)
