I am interested in giving Linux a try. I have been scoping out reading material and have found some mixed comments on the following book:

"Moving to Linux-Kiss the Blue Screen of Death Goodbye, by Marcel Gagne"

We are a Windows Shop only... and I would like to try moving our Exchange Server to Linux Server... not a clue where to start. Is this a good book to accomplish this?

Any comments or recommendations on different books and websites would be appreciated.

Thanks

As far as I know as of yet there is no LINUX replacement for exchange server that will integrate fully with outlook.

Thanks franklin97355

Do you know if this would be a good book to read if I just wanted to start-up one Linux server to start learning with?

I don't think there is one using Outlook's native MS Exchange connector. As far as I know, the protocol used is a closely-guarded Mi[¢]ro$oft secret.

There are, however, hybrid solutions. For example, SuSE's Openexchange server includes an Outlook plugin that allows Outlook to share items using WebDAV and XML.
