Moving SQL database from Drive C:/ to Drive D.

Hi
I am in the middle of setting up a web server and have a few questions.
What I want to do is put the server website on one partition (W), the SQL database on another (D) and the operating system on (C).
Just now they are all on the (C) drive.

How easy is it to move the SQL database onto another partition? Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this.
Also I have tried to move the Site out of “

http://wwwroot”

on the C drive to the W drive. I then pointed IIS to this drive as the default. The site works but is running very slow when accessing the database.

You should be able to detach your databases, move them to the appropriate partition and then reattach.. I have never tried to detach and reattach the master or other system databases so you might want to read up on that..
