This situation may be more related to PalmDeskTop, but I somehow doubt it.
A friend has WindowsXP and 4 (father, mother, 2 sons) users on 1 computer. Each user has their own login, but all operate in SysAdmin mode so they can all d/l programs as desired.
Enter PalmDeskTop. Father and #1son aquire Palm Pilots for Christmas. #1son d/l PDT from PalmOne and installs. Father goes to use PDT under his login and it's not there.
Of course not, it's available to #1son 'cause he installed it.
Ok. Move the shortcuts from #1son DocumentsAndSettings | StartMenu to All Users. NOT.
Uninstall and reinstall under my watchfull eye looking for the dialog box that asks if all users should be able to access this program, BUT alas no request. Back to square one.
I have Win2k on my beast and have no trouble moving shortcuts around, and I operate as SysAdmin.
Any ideas? Did I leave out pertinent info?
