We are running Win2K Server and looking to move our file server, say APP-01, to a new piece of hardware. We plan to move all shares (would like keep security and permissions intact) to new server and name this server APP-01.

Could you advise me of a migration tool to migrate all shares while keeping the shares and permissions the same so that our users will not have to re-create there shortcuts to these share. Also, we would like to not have to apply all these permissions again.

Thanks for the quick response. Seems a little trick, the .vbs stuff, but I will give it a try. Thanks again.
