I'm currently rationalising the numbers in our office to 5xxx however when I reached 5214 I found that a 521 was already in use.

From LD23 I get TYPE ACID TN 3 0 0 10

Bearing in mind I'm a novice at this is it possible (or advisable!) to change the 521 to another number? And how?

Thanks

C

only problem is, you need to out that set then out the acd group then add it all back, not a small step for a rookie

According to the information supplied it looks as if 521 is an position ID. Print the set 1st. If you are using symopsium you would need to deaquire the set then diable, out and rebuild set. If not using Symposium disabling, outing and rebuilding set should work. Make sure that this ID doesn't appear on a Supervisor console. It is not the que so you shouldn't have to rebuild the que.

Prt TN 3 0 0 10 in LD 20

If you are not using Symposium the rest is fairly simple.

Out and rebuild the phoneset with a different position ID. Use 4 or more digits for all position ID's, this will stop 4 digit numbers for not being available except those that are assigned and in use.

When you use 521 you are in effect blocking 10 numbers from use.

To find out if any more of your 5XXX are blocked run a LUDN in LD 20

Req: PRT
TYPE: LUDN
Cust: 0
DN: 5

This will print out all of the numbers that are available in the 5XXX range. If you see any numbers that are not available that you want to use PRT the DN, make the changes required and your off.

Ah. I didn't equate the ACID with a Pos ID. Thought it was some kind of control group on the Switch.

That makes everything clear now.

Thanks to you all.
