I'm moving an end users phone from one building to another. I outed his old TN so I can move it to the new TN but it is not working for me. This is the steps I took:

LD 11
REQ: out
TYPE: 3902
TN: 17 14

That finished so then I changed to LD 20.

LD 20
REQ: MOV
TYPE:3902
TN: 17 14 (This is where I get an error. It seems to not take his old TN.)

When I do a STAT on 17 14 it says: UNEQ.

The building he is moving into is a new building where new lines were run. He will be moving to a completely new TN.

Can anyone help?

You deleted the TN programming. There is nothing there to move. You need to rebuild the set from scratch on the new TN. Hopefully you have a printed copy.

Only way to recover is to sysload before a data dump occurs. Not a good choice.

You can not move a tn that has been removed. You will have to build a new phone on the tn that you want to use.

OK. That doesn't sound good. I used this procedure for another move and it worked. Don't remember the exact circumstances but it must be different.

OK, so I need the end user to use TN 18 2. When I do PRT for TN 18 2 it spits out:

Is there a tutorial or walk through for building a new phone?

Can I copy a profile from another phone to a new phone?

LOL..... I can't

I copied another TN to TN 17 14 and now it spits out:

I got it fixed. I outed 18 2 and moved 17 14 to it. It works!

Thanks to everyone for their input.

To MOV a phone, find the TN where your going to MOV it to and then just use the MOV from old TN to new TN.

You could also use some training, thy this site.

And you don't have to go to LD 11 to OUT a phone, you can do it in LD 20

Connected LD's are 10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 32

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I have to stop ASSUMMING when telling people how to do something, they know what I mean.

Thanks tnphoneman

Thanks guys for all the info. Like I said in my previous post, once I outed 18 2 and moved 17 14 into it, IT WORKED!

Thanks for all the help!!!
