Moving Peachtree Complete to new computer

I just purchased a new computer with XP and need to transfer Peachtree Complete Accounting 8.0 to this computer. I have installed the program on the new computer and created the company (basic info), but when I backed up the data and moved it to the new computer and restored it, then tried to open the company, I get this message: "You must update this program to open this company." Any suggestions?

Should I have merely installed the program and not created the company, or is there something else going on here? Any help would be appreciated!

As the message would indicate, it would seem that you should first be sure you are running the exact version and updates before trying to restore the backups from the other machine.
