Hi, traditionally we have always had Notes directory structure like so C:\Notes\Data. However we are soon to roll XP With Notes 6 and will have a situation where we may have multiple users accessing the same machines. We want our users to be able to do this without sharing each others Notes. Has anyone moved the Data folder to the user profile to create the sort of setup?

Hi Costo

Not sure if this is of any help to you but when we set up users who share a PC we just use one installation of Notes.

I then create a location document for each user and make sure that the "user ID to switch to" is filled in correctly. Therefore when a user opens Notes and selects their location document it is using their id and only allows them access to databases that they were entitled to see.

The only downside is that the the desktop is sometimes a bit untidy but I usually allocate a shared tab for stuff like the address book and an individual tab to each user.

It works fairly well for people on shifts or who don't use Notes all the time.
