Some of our users only access their mail database through a browser. Once in a while we move someone to a regular local notes install but we do not know how to move the addresses that they have on the web to their local names.nsf. Can anyone tell me how this is done? On the web there is a view called "address book" that does not show up when using the desktop client. We are running Notes version 5.12

Not sure if this works in reverse order:

From the Notes client, Actions, iNotes Web Access, Synchronize Contacts.

What is iNotes? It doesn't show up in my Actions list.

If you using the default Notes mail "combo" template, you will not be able to synch the contacts. I would recommend taking a test user (like yourself) and switching to the iNotes template (iNotes Mail and C&S).

Are you currently running a custom mail template? If not, this is a lot easier.

To change over to iNotes, right-click your mail DB, Database, Replace Design. Template server = your Domino server, scroll down to iNotes Mail and C&S, select and click OK.

Once this has completed, you can access Notes as you normally would from your client, but you now have the advanced Notes web client features built into your DB (iNotes). Connect to your mail DB via a browser, authenticate, and you will see what I mean.

Don't forget to back up your mail DB before making the changes. Once you are done, you will have the iNotes menus as well.

Hope this helps.
