How do I move multiple bars at once without changing their relation to each other? (I used to know how to do this but have been away from Project a few months)

If you set up successor/predecessor links between the tasks then changing the start or finish date of the first task will cause the other bars to move.

Of course you need to be careful that the tasks have the appropriate constraint types and constraint dates. You also need to remember that resource calendars (i.e. resource availability) and task calendars may also have an impact. Finally, you need to concern yourself with whether the project was scheduled from the start date or the finish date.

Quite simple, really.

Thanks PDQ,
One of the issues is that some of the tasks are not linked to each other and/or do not start/finish at the same time but must be moved together.

Unless the tasks are linked (to each other or to a common task), I know of no way to move them concurrently.

Uhoh! My life's about to get real tough :) Thank you for your help. Hopefully there is an answer to this out there somewhere.
