Hello ~ I've got an application that is currently using a MSDE 2000 database. It needs to go on a server that already is running MSDE and does not like to play well with other application especially those running MSDE. So, I would like to have my new app use our SQL Server 2000. Is there anything special I need to do to the database to make it okay to use with SQL Server 2000?

I only know the basics of the differences between MSDE and SQL Server 2000 and I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks!

Nope, just do a backup and restore, or detach and attach and you should be fine.

I just did a detach/attach and it worked fine. Will have to wait until the developer of the app gets back to test it, but it appears to be okay.

Thanks!
