My applicative is crashing when it is loading and you move the mouse. Causes a GPF external from Clipper/Blinker (full of ***** in pointers). If you are in a command box, mouse doesn't work anymore after the first fail. This begun to happen in Windows XP (9X and ME mouse functions OK).
I use Clipper 5.3b and Blinker 4.1 and Windows XP

I just went through this same thing with a Clipper 5.3b/Blinker 4.1 app on a W2000 machine. I was told to purchase Blinker 6.0 and re-link the app. It's been a couple of weeks and I'm still waiting for my FedEx two day special delivery from Blink Inc. When I receive the new linker and try it for myself I will then be able to advise you precisely what to do. In the mean time you can do what I did and disable the mouse--SetMouse( .F. ), it worked for me!

Regards,
David Tracy.

Addendum to message of 02/25/2002

Correction: The Clipper 5.3b function to call is MSetCursor(.F.) to disable the mouse not SetMouse(.F.) as previously posted.

My appologies,

David Tracy.

David, thank you for your advice. I will wait your tests with Blinker 6.0 Unfortunatelly i cannot disable mouse because i have several clients that use it. My system runs in several stores (i only configure their specific characteristics). In this moment no client of mine is using Windows XP but, as we must run step aside, i have installed it to test and know the product in advance.

I finally received and installed Blinker 6.0. I re-linked one of my Clipper 5.3b apps and installed it onto an NT4 server with Win2000 workstations. No more mouse problems, no more GPF's, thank you very much Blink Inc.

Regards,

David Tracy.

Blinker 6.0 fixes the GPF problem for WIN2K
but the problem re-appears in WindowsXP.

Blink Inc. has not come out with any fix for
that yet

regards
John
