Moving files.

Hi,

I want to know how to move some of the archived log files for an Oracle database to another file system through Unix?

Any help would be much appreciated.

mv <filename> <newpath>

ie :

mv /path/to/log.tar.gz /new/path/for/archives

Those oracle log files should be copied to tape and then deleted from the file system. Mike
