We currently have two offices just down the street from each other. An employee in one office is moving to the other office and would like to retain his current extension. The two offices have separate switches but have four digit dialing enabled between the two.

My plan was to wipe the line programming from each and then rebuild with the extensions flipped. I can wipe put the extensions but when I try to add the new SCR, I get a SCH0375 error - that DN type doesn't match DN input.

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to make this work and what might be wrong?

Are they "gone" or just removed from those sets? prt the DNBs, are they MCR's ????

First is the DNB for the employee who is moving. The second DNB is for the location in the other switch where he is going. I'm just trying to change Key 0, 1 and 2 on the second set to the SCR extension that's on the first set.

Could the number be conflicting with your CDP for the 4 digit dialing ability?

How would I go about resolving a conflict in the CDP for the four digit dialing, if that was the case? That was my first thought, but then I wasn't sure what I needed to do to fix it.

2228 is moving to that blank key 0 right? so prt the CDP of both pbx's, as it's routing is about to be reversed.

to add a cdp/dsc the number has to be in the ludn table.. so if you out 3 5 you can send those numbers to the remote switch.. just go to 87 and prt cdp dsc xxxx, any number that has been moved.. and the new cdp dsc 2228, flen 4 and then the rlb.. now when you add it to the remote switch as a scr.. it works

John -

I'm a little lost. I don't quite understand your instructions. Can you give me an example of what I would do in each switch to allow the extensions to be swapped from site to site?

go to 87 and print one ext that is now working
Code:
REQ prt
CUST 0
FEAT cdp
TYPE dsc
DSC 7708
DSC 7708
FLEN 4
DSP LSC
RLI 13
NPA
NXX

in my switch 7708 is working on a remote unit. so all i need to know it that it is using rli 13..

if i want to send a working set at 4 0 5 0
Code:
USMD USRD ULAD RTDD RBDD RBHD PGND OCBD FLXD FTTC DNDY DNO3 MCBN

DNDR 0
KEY 00 SCR 1034 0 MARP
     01

     03

to the remote switch.. i either nul key 0 or out the phone
Code:
ld 11

REQ: out
TYPE: 3904
TN 4 0 5 0

now my ludn table shows 1034 as vacant. so i go back to ld 87.
Code:
  B BACKUP DISKETTE(S) NEEDED: 1 (PROJECTED LD43 - BKO)
REQ new
CUST 0
FEAT cdp
TYPE dsc
DSC 1034
FLEN 4
DSP
RLI 13

then i go to the far end switch and add the key 1034 to a working phone or build a new phone... BUT i need to prt that dn in the remote switch.. it may well be a dsc pointed to the original phone.. that would mean i need to out it from ld 87 in the remote switch...

so in the remote switch.. go to 87 and prt dsc 1034.. if it's not there i would print dsc 103 or even 10 or 1... it's common to send numbers in groups or 10 or 100 between switches.. if that is the case.. say i was at the remote site and the dsc 103 was being sent back to the main..

i would out dsc 103, the add 1030, 1031, thru 1039.. omiting 1034.. that adds 1034 back to the ludn table of the remote so i can use it on a phone....

not that bad.. you just need to tell your switch what to do with the digits..

1034 is in switch a, i want it in switch b..

out the set in switch a.. send it to b as a dsc..

log on to switch b.. remove 1034 as a dsc and add it to a set..
