Moving Content DB from MOSS 2007 to WSS 3.0?

Hi, I've recently test drove MOSS 2007, decided it was more than I needed and am about to move on. However, I do have a site that I have developed on MOSS 2007 that I would like to transfer to my WSS 3.0 server to keep it up and running.

I assumed that this would be as simple as creating a new site on the WSS 3.0 server, and adding the old content db from MOSS 2007 (still ont he SQL2000 server) through the GUI in Central Admin.

However, when I do so, the added content db shows 0 sites rather than the 2 it should. Any advice?

Thanks,
Jason

Jason,

Did you have any luck getting past this issue? I'm actually looking to go the other way - move WSS v3.0 site to MOSS2007 except the environments are on different hardware.

Thanks
Mark
