Are these chart options only available in later versions of Crystal Reports?

Dear Capita,

In Crystal 8.0, create your chart. Preview the report and right click on the chart and choose chart analyzer.

Once in chart analyzer click on a series.

Right click, and choose trendlines. You will see a long list of different trendlines, including moving averages, in the list.

Thanks for that - very helpful. One more question - is there a way to separate numeric parts in a string, ie to separate '3456' from H3456/P?

A new topic should really be a new thread. For the case you gave, Mid({string}, 2, 4) would do it.

If the format varies it would be more tricky - try using [Search] to see various solutions that have been offered. Look here; Forum 1 is the place for Crystal formulas.
