Folks,

I've got to move an EPN over a few feet so that I can install a couple of spiffy new wiring racks in a closet. I'm assuming that I can busy out the fiber link, then simply power down the cabinet, no?

You would have to do a little more then that if you don't want alarms to show up. If it's going to be down for a short time I would just shut it off add your racks and power it back on.

Thanks Mojo. The cabinet should be out of service for a day at the most - not much longer than that. I figured I'd call Denver to alert them of this, but would it be better if I had the alarm origination disabled?

If you can, just disable the alarm origination or pull the cross connect off the modem number. If your fiber is going through a outside vendor you mght want to alert them also.
