I need to move a digital phone (3904) to an IP phone (i2004)and I am not sure how to do this. Any help? All the old user programming needs to be on the new IP phone.

How do I assign the phone the old phones DID?

Program the i2004 pretty much the same way you do the 3904. It will be a different TN, of course, but when you out the 3904 that will make that DN available for use on the i2004. If you have other i2004s already built (and these are not ACD phones) just out the 3904, copy one of the other i2004's and then change the name and whatever else you need.

PRINT the TNB for the 3904 before outing it so you will have a record of what CLS and other settings you want to follow...

the DID is programmed in LD 49

LD49 is not the actual DID, it is converting incoming numbers to your inhouse extensions, that will remain unchanged if all you want to do is to replace a 3904 with an i2004

Here is how the set is laid out, how do I get this information on the new set?

Thanks for your help?

On the I2004 tn 66-0-00-22, change key 0 scr 6965 and name it John smith and so same on key 1 scr 7876965.
Then when you get the I2004 to works, out the 3904 TN 7-0-00-12.

How do I do that? Sorry-I am new to the system and just learning.

In LD 11 (or 20 but the documentation for the load is in 11)
REQ: chg
TYPE: i2004
TN: 66 0 0 22
ITEM: key 0 scr 6965 1
CPND chg
John Smith
enter until you get back to
ITEM: repeat for keys 1 and 2 and any other keys you want to change. If you don't need the names on 1 and 2 just hit enter until you get back to
ITEM: NCOS 7 (assuming you want to change that too)
keep changing things at the ITEM prompt until you are done and then just hit [enter] until it updates and brings you back to the REQ prompt.

A lot of those higher numbered keys may be programmed automatically so I'd stop after the SCR keys and the NCOS and then print the TNB for 66 0 0 22 and see what matches up. There may be a few things that don't go in the same place because they are different phones. Post back here if something won't go in...

Oh yeah - Since you have the TNB for 7 0 0 12 copied I think you can go ahead and out that one assuming you want get rid of that set. If you want to keep that set active but with a different number, simply chg it like above with a different DN.
