Moving 5.5 on NT 4.0 to 5.5 on 2000 1

I have NT 4.0 SP5 with Exchange 5.5 SP4. I have a new server coming that I want to move my Exhange to. It will be 2000 server. I don't want to spend the money to upgrade Exchange because 5.5 does everything I want it to. I am not replacing my old server because it is my PDC and hosts my RAS and Proxy. I can't just move the DB because the server will be a different name. I could rename the servers, but I would lose my SID anyway. I have custom recipients and can't lose my priv.edb. Any ideas?

Add the new server to the same Org/site and move the users over to the new server.
