Can anyone tell me why my graphic that I drag onto my movie clip from the library is scaled down?

The main .fla doc width is set to 770px. I have a movie clip on a layer on the main timeline, when I edit this movie clip to add in the graphic - (which is also 770px wide - I want this to slide on to cover full width on activation of movie clip, then slide off after...) - from the library, it appears in the movie clip at a much smaller scale, even though the properties tell me it's full size.

(sorry if this sound unclear - I'm new to flash)

any suggestions appreciated

I'm not sure I completely understand...

Is it an image? If so, make sure your image is 72 dpi...even if its 770px wide it will scale down or up depending on the dpi...at least that's what I've found....

Perhaps you could post a link to your .FLA?

The Key is more powerful than the Sword.

Hi greengrassbrian, sorry I'm not brilliant at explaining things, no the graphic I've put onto the movie clip is just a simple white rectangle as a trial, but I will be replacing it with a group of images once I've got it working.
