Well. My Abit KT7A Raid died so I had to get a new mobo, so I bought a ASUS A7V333 Raid.
The only thing I can see of the RAID 0 -configuration is the 5GB (primary partition) of the total 2x40GB!! and no files. Nothing and with XP suggesting that I should format it!!.
I'm booting as I did on the ABIT from a 120GB disk. On boot the ASUS reports that both 2x40GB disks are functional, and I haven't changed anything on the original RAID configuration by using FastTrak.
Apparently Highpont/Promise can't be used seemless. But how can I accces my data on th 2x49GB? And move them over to the 10GB.
Buy a new board w/Highpoint?

My system specs:

AthlonXP 2000+
Asus A7V-333 RAID
Point of View G4 Ti4200XP
512MB Twinmos PC2700 DDR
IBM Deskstar 120GXP 120 GB
2 X Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 60 40 GB

Pioneer DVD-106 40X

Hi !

Problem is that different RAID's has different internal configurations. So you can't use RAID created on one controller using different model. What can you do is find the same controller that you had before, setup the same parameters and backup data. Then install disks to new controller, format RAID and put data on it.
Or you can use recovery/conversion companies.

THX for the replys. I managed to access the data with pc w/a mobo with highpoint raid and move them over to my other HD. I didn't use the Raid config to boot from on my original system but I had 70GB of data there. But anyhow: Why isn't Raid = Raid as a standard?

For anybody else: Remember don't mix raid-configuration (Promise/Highpoint etc). And move your data from your Riaid HD's if you are planning to use them within/with other system/configurations
