moved domino 6.5 from nt4 to w2k server-(no incoming/outgoing mail)

The domino server version 6.5.1 was on nt4 and we installed it on windows 2000 server. Copied over data folder and notes.ini file. We used the same ip and computer name.
The problem is there is no incoming or outgoing mail.
When I ran the command "start port 25" it comes up with error "error trying to enable port 25 - no such entry". Any help would be appricated

Have you checked to be sure the SMTP listener task is running?

Hello,

I would also make sure you didn't install IIS with SMTP when you installed Windows. Since you copied your data DIR and notes.ini, you should be all set. If Windows is running SMTP too, it will win the battle and prevent Notes from using that port. Hope this helps.

W2k server has it's own SMTP "daemon" that is installed and running automatically. So check whether Domino can make use of that transport or try disabling SMTP on W2k.
