I have a VM/VHD hosted on an iSCSI SAN that I would like to temporarily move to local storage on the Xenserver.

Is this possible in Xencenter?

I'm running Xenserver 5.5.

I have googled this and I’m not finding a clear answer.

Thanks.

1. open your xencenter
2 shut down the vm that you like 2 move
3. right mouse click => copy VM
4. select the store and check "delete original vm after copy" if you're sure.
5. press OK

Thanks for the reply. Is copying it better than exporting and then re importing the VM?

its just easier.
when you choose to copy, the job is done after the copy -task.

you must manually start the import-job after you exported the image. so you have an extra manual task.

But keep the export -import method in mind, it can be the trick if you having troubles with copying ...
