Over the past two weeks I have moved about 200 hundred users from our Exchange 5.5 system to the Exchange 2000 system. When I had moved my user account the user profile was updated as soon as I connected, but from the few spot checks I've done with the recently moved mailboxes, none of the user profiles have been updated! Does anyone have any notes on how to make it update the users profile automatically, without requiring us to change each and every user's profile?

When you leave your old server up and running for a while client config is updated automaticly.

When moving mailboxes the user profile is not updated. It is updated when they connect to the server. Client will notice that the resource server ain´t the old exchange 5.5 server anymore and will reconfigure to the new server.

Therefore keep the old server up and running for a while.

How long is a while? I have clients that have been on the new server for almost two weeks now. When I moved, my profile updated automatically, after the very first connection.

Profile of the user should update immediately....
when it doesn´t..... hmmmmmmm...... don´t know it then... sorry....

That's what I was afraid of.... :) Everywhere I can find the subject on the web is as simple as "It WILL work..." Even Microsoft doesn't dwell on the possibility that it won't update. Thanks for your help though.
