I have searched around and found plenty of how-to's on moving a mailbox to another server, but i simply want to move a users email to another users email account. Say a user leaves the company, i can go to that machine and export the info to a .pst, take file that to the new users machine and import but that seems to be a long way to do it. Is there a way in the Exchange System Manager that i can move the old users email into another users inbox?

You don't have to go to the machine. You can use the EXMERGE utility to export the information into a PST.
Better would be to rename the AD account of the person leaving the company to the name of the person just arriving into the company (obviously that won't work if there are internal moves rather than new hires etc.)

I'm a much bigger fan of the Exmerge method than the rename method.

If a user leaves the company, what is your process for data retention? I always exmerge the account to a .pst for archiving.

Once that's done, you can turn around an exmerge that .pst file into the new user's account.

In AD, there can only be 1 mailbox per user. If you would like to move the mailbox to another person (as that users' only mailbox), you can delete the user w/the desirable mailbox, and use the Exchange System Manager (ESM) to attach the mailbox to a different user. Keep in mind that the user that will receive the mailbox must not already have a mailbox.

If you want 1 user to have 2 'mailboxes', then you must either create a PST within Outlook or use Exmerge, then attach the PST. Hope that helps.
