mouse woes???? 2

keep losing usb mouse in xp on reboot.after reboot have to disconnect mouse and reinstall no problem then. have downloaded latest drivers from microsoft for trackball optical still it goes out to lunch. usb support enabled in bios cant figure it out help please.

It might be a bad mechanical connection. USB ports are prone to insertion failures/ bad pins.

hey guys thanks followed your suggestions went to microsoft all better now. instead of plugging into mb went into keyboard aok now. thanks again.
