A really simple one for anyone who has a clue about flash, which is not me.

I have a button which consists of only text. I want the colour of the text to change to white when the user mouse over it.

Can anyone help

Just go into edit mode on the button (either double click it in your library, or double click the instance of it on the stage) and add a keyframe for the 'Over' state. Then just edit the text to be whatever colour you want it to be.

When you're in edit mode for the button, you'll notice there are 4 states - up, over, down and hit.

The 'Up' state is what the button looks like normally.

'Over' is when the mouse hovers over.

'Down' is what it looks like when you click.

'Hit' is not required but allows you to determine where the cursor has to click to be able to use the button.

Theres a load of tutorials on the internet for this type of button, such as here:
