I have a database back up file from an sql 2000 server. How do I get thsi back up up and running on another sql 2000 server.. The new server is outside of the forest as the hosting server??

Do a standard restore either via the GUI or the RESTORE DATABASE command in Query Analyzer/osql/isql/etc.
