Most Recent Record for Each Account

I know this should be easy but I just can't think of a way to do this. I'm trying to write a query that will select the most recent invoice/transaction for each account. Right now, I have 2 tables: vendor and vendor transactions. Thanks for any help.

In the criteria row for the date field on your query you can use the DMax function:

DMax("YourDateField","YourTableName")

i just tried that....it would not work....i'll continue to try it because its a function and something should work.
