Is there a way to add more pages to the document in Illustrator 10? I'm making a digital sketchbook for a project and so it will need to be spread across multiple pages but at the moment I'm having to create each page as a separate file.

If Illustrator won't allow more than one page, is there something else that will save all the separate pages as one PDF later?

Thanks.

There is a plugin at hotdoor.com, called multiple pages. I haven't tried it yet though.

You have to use the tiling feature to accomplish this. Go into Document Setup and select the total size of your document. For example, if you want your sketchbook to have 10 pages each 8 1/2 x 11, you'd set your document size to width: 85 and height: 11. Then choose Print | Set up and you'll see options for tiling. Select "Tile full pages" (make sure the page orientation is set to portrait for this example). The last step is to select View | Show page tiling and you'll see your numbered pages.

To increase the number of pages in your sketchbook as you go along, you can just increase the size of the document in increments or 8.5.

Thanks for the help. I got it to do the tiling. Will that save as a multipage PDF now?

You can't do "Save As PDF" to get a mult-page pdf. But you can print to PDF by selecting Print and choosing Adobe PDF under your selection of printers. I'm pretty sure this will only work on Acrobat 6.0 and up so if you don't have Acrobat 6.0 installed you can print to a postscript file and run that file through your Distiller.
