Hi,

I want to connect my Laptop at work and at home. At work I use DHCP and at home I use static IP.
Can I set up W2K or XP to use DHCP to get an IP address and use an additional static IP?

Thanks.

I do not know a way to configure both in WK2000.

What you can do is using batch file and simply switch from one config to the other by simply running the batch file in the command mode. You need to use the netsh.exe utility.
More much detailed info can be found at

You can define as much batch files as you want and simply activate them where suitable.
I would suggest not touching the DHCP configuration as is in the NIC definitions window. When you get home at start up it will start DHCP then you activate the batch file and voila here you have it.
