We will be installing a Modular ICS with 7.1 with (1) PRI and DID's. We want their main DID number to be answered by the Auto Attendant. I seem to remember in the past we could only stack up 2 inbound DID calls at once to the same DID number. The 3rd and further calls would either go to the main console or busy. This customer will be using this (1) DID number as their main number. At any point in the day, this customer could stack up several calls at once. There is no receptionist at this site, thus the AA. Thank you for your response.

One DID per target line.
Setup as many appearances to each target line desired.

221/LineAccess/LineAssignement/ShowTargetXXX....assign it and press show again to tell how many appearances you want.

Add more Intercoms keys if need.

Or if you want ring only, give 'em a few intercom paths. Teach them how to park calls.

AA is answering the calls.

He wants to know how many calls can the AA handle?

Does it depend on the amount of voicemail ports?

VM is a Call Pilot 4 port 8 channel. I need to have the AA answer several calls at once from a single DID number. The calls will not be ringing or appearing at a station. They only give out their main DID number.

Well then, it can handle 8 simultaneous calls, the 9th call will give the caller a busy tone.

....JIM....

If I'm correct I thought Nortel sold extra ports, how does one accomplish this, is it via software upgrade or cabinet?

On the target line make the prime the voice mail DN and the 9th call will just ring till a channel opens up then answer.

Me too. Setting the prime to the receptionist also provides a bakup if you start having vm trouble.
