One of our PBX Gateway switches is failing to load the image file during the Boot process. The default.m6d file is erroring out. I am not able to telnet into the box because the Ethernet port does not startup.

Using the console port, I can see the error display during the boot process. If anyone knows of a solution for resolving this problem when the firmware is lost, I would be very grateful for your assistance. Thanks.

I tried a reimage. I loaded a new default.m6b file to the box. However, when I rebooted the switch, it now cycles through and endless loop of reading the image file and then automatically reboots. It is as if the switch recognizes the old image file in a certain memory location even though the file does not reside in the directory.

The exact same thing happened to me. Conclusion from MCK was that the flash memory on the board was defective. Had to replace the unit. The image was there but couldn't load into the flash memory, saw an error and kept rebooting. Don't know if it helps but i thought i could share!!
