Today I upgraded a old PC from 333MHZ with 128mbram , into a a celeron 1300 MHZ with 256Ram , anyway the when I re-installed every driver after the format , when I tried to raise the resolution into 1024X768 the screen shut went off after like 10 seconds.

Anyway I didnt use the OLD video card of the old system(ATI Rage Pro) I just used the intergrated one on the Intel 815 Chipset , Since it's better.

Anyway I tried the screen on my new PC(with Geforce 4) it did the same thing , I use it again on the ATI rage pro , it didn't do anything wrong

Anyway1 know what the problem could be ?(the monitor is KTX JD144H)

Did that monitor ever run at that resolution (1024x768)? I had a similar situation once where a system was running fine until I loaded a new Ghost image on it. During the reboot, everything looked ok until the OS was loaded... the screen went black. That particular monitor could not handle 1024x768. I would try a different monitor... I none available, try booting to safe mode to verify monitor operation.
-Good Luck

Yes , at the old system I always set the resolution to 1024x768.

Your monitor is a 14" KTX monitor I believe, check your refresh rate under the "Display Properties" it might be set toooooo high!

If the refreshrate is set to high when you change your display size the monitor will shut off to protect it self and you will see a black screen.

Right click with your mouse on a empty space on your desktop, a dropdown menu show, select the properties option. This will give you a new window labled Display properties got to the settings tab and click on the "Advanced" button. This will give you a new window check under either the "Adapter" or the "Monitor" tab for a refresh rate setting. Try it on 60Hz or default first then try to go higher slowly. If you have the Monitor manual this will give you the best settings. Try not to use Optimal as this setting has killed many monitors ;P

If this is a 14" monitor it might not be worth having it set on 1024x768, I would keep it on 800X600 and and save up for a 17" or a 19" ;)
